Welcome

Since 1962

The same corner for over sixty years.

There is a routed wooden sign at the shop that reads Est. 1962, and a banner under the canopy that says Fifty Years Strong. Both have been there a while. Snow's has been fixing cars on this stretch of Chapman Avenue since before most of the buildings around it went up.

It has stayed a proper working garage rather than a franchise. The bays are open to the street, the signs are hand painted, and the person who talks you through the job is the person who looked at the car.

Chapman University is a few blocks east, so a lot of the cars coming through belong to students and to parents who live too far away to help. There is a university discount painted on the window for exactly that reason.

What we do

Auto, truck, RV and fabrication.

The pole sign out front reads AUTO TRUCK RV HD FAB. That is a fair summary of the range, and it is wider than most shops on the street.

01

Cars, New and Old

Foreign and domestic, whatever the age. Tires, brakes, shocks and batteries are all on the board out front, and oil changes including synthetic.

02

Trucks, RVs and Heavy Duty

The pole sign says auto, truck, RV and HD, and it means it. Bigger vehicles that a lot of shops on this street will not take on.

03

Race Prep and Offroad Prep

Prep work for track and for dirt. If you are building something rather than just running it, this is the side of the shop that handles it.

04

Welding and Fabrication

Welding and modification work in house, which is what the FAB on the sign stands for. Custom work rather than parts swapping.

05

Fleets Welcome

Painted right on the window. If you run vehicles for a business around Orange, they will take the whole fleet rather than one van at a time.

06

University Discount

Chapman University is a few blocks east on this same street, and there is a student discount on the window to match.

In their words

What customers say about Drew.

4.6 stars across 67 Google reviews. These three are quoted as they were written.

Great (and honest) service for my kid who is at Chapman University while I'm 350 miles away up in SF area. Drew was up front about what will be involved... I sensed no BS, no trying to leave doors open for surprises, and my son liked interacting with him in person.

Drew was very professional, informative, honest and kind. He answered all my questions thoughtfully and did not try to sell me on anything. I really resonated with his business model that he'd rather build a trusting customer-mechanic relationship.

Super knowledgeable, fast, and helpful! I had a bad engine and they were able to fix it up same-day for a wonderful price. Highly recommend them!

Call the shop and talk it through. If it is a fleet, a build or something bigger than a car, an email with the details is usually the easier place to start.
